2. Customer Responsibility
Customers are solely responsible for ensuring that any product purchased from Pro Scoot Limited is used lawfully and safely. Laws and regulations relating to electric scooters, powered mobility products and similar vehicles may vary depending on location and intended use. It is the customer’s responsibility to understand and comply with all applicable laws, regulations, licensing requirements, insurance requirements and local restrictions before operating any product.
Pro Scoot Limited does not provide legal advice and cannot guarantee where or how any product may be lawfully operated.
3. Private Land Use
Unless expressly stated otherwise, products sold by Pro Scoot Limited are intended for use on private land with the permission of the landowner. Customers are responsible for determining whether a product may be legally used in any specific location.
Pro Scoot Limited accepts no responsibility for unlawful use of any product.
4. Legal Compliance
Certain products may be capable of modification or registration for specific uses subject to applicable laws, regulations and approval requirements. Any such modifications, registrations, inspections, licensing, taxation, insurance requirements or legal compliance obligations remain entirely the responsibility of the customer.
Customers should obtain independent advice and confirm current legal requirements with the relevant authorities before using any product on public roads or in any regulated environment.
5. Safe Operation
Customers should familiarise themselves with the product and all supplied instructions before use. New users should begin in a safe and controlled environment and operate the product within their abilities.
Customers should not operate any product if:
• They are unfamiliar with its controls.
• The product appears damaged.
• Components are loose or defective.
• Tyres appear damaged or under-inflated.
• Any safety concern exists.
If a fault is suspected, the product should not be used until the issue has been investigated.
6. Pre-Ride Inspection
Customers should inspect their scooter before each use.
Checks should include, where applicable:
• Tyres and tyre pressure.
• Braking systems.
• Steering components.
• Lights.
• Battery condition.
• Charger condition.
• Visible damage or loose parts.
Failure to carry out routine inspections may increase the risk of accidents, injury or damage.
7. Protective Equipment
Pro Scoot Limited strongly recommends the use of appropriate protective equipment when operating any scooter.
Depending on the intended use, this may include:
• Helmet.
• Eye protection.
• Gloves.
• Knee protection.
• Elbow protection.
• Suitable footwear.
Protective equipment may reduce the severity of injury but cannot eliminate risk.
8. Battery Safety
Only the manufacturer’s supplied charger should be used with the product.
Customers should:
• Use only the manufacturer’s supplied charger.
• Follow all manufacturer charging instructions.
• Avoid exposing batteries to excessive heat.
• Avoid exposure to water or moisture.
• Store batteries in accordance with manufacturer recommendations.
Use of any charger other than the charger supplied with the product may result in battery damage and may invalidate warranty coverage.
Improper charging practices, incorrect chargers, poor storage conditions or battery misuse may result in battery damage, fire, injury or property damage.
9. Water and Weather Exposure
Although certain components may provide limited resistance to moisture, scooters and electrical components are not waterproof.
Customers should avoid:
• Flood water.
• Standing water.
• Submersion.
• Pressure washing.
• Excessive exposure to rain.
• Cleaning methods that force water into electrical components.
Water ingress may result in damage that is not covered under warranty.
10. Product Modifications
Customers should not modify products unless expressly approved by the manufacturer.
Unauthorised modifications may:
• Affect safety.
• Affect performance.
• Cause damage.
• Invalidate warranty coverage.
• Increase the risk of injury.
11. Product Performance
Published specifications, performance figures, speed estimates, range estimates, charging times and similar information are provided by manufacturers and are based on specific testing conditions.
Actual performance may vary depending on:
• Rider weight.
• Terrain
• Weather conditions.
• Temperature.
• Battery condition.
• Tyre pressure.
• Riding style.
• Payload carried.
Pro Scoot Limited does not guarantee that individual users will achieve published performance figures.
12. Limitation of Responsibility
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pro Scoot Limited shall not be responsible for loss, injury, damage, fines, penalties or other consequences arising from:
